The best ManyChat alternative depends on the job. If your team sells in Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp DMs, our pick is Instant Reply. For WhatsApp-led campaigns, look at WATI or Interakt. For a large support floor, Respond.io. If your work is comment-to-DM campaigns built on visual flows, ManyChat is still the better tool and you should stay.

ManyChat's prices were read on its pricing page and help center on October 2, 2026. The other vendors' prices were read from their own pages between August and September 2026; confirm them before you buy.
Why teams look for a ManyChat alternative#
Three reasons come up, and each one is on ManyChat's own pages or in public reviews.
- The billing meter. ManyChat counts an Active Contact as anyone who has "interacted with you through Manychat during your current billing month": a DM, a comment, a story reply. Month-to-month, Pro is $39 for 2,500 of them, then $0.05 each. A post that brings 20,000 extra people into your DMs adds $1,000, for $1,039 that month. - The plan gates. WhatsApp and AI start on Pro. The shared team Inbox with assignments starts on Business, $99 month-to-month. The AI Knowledge Base is "currently available only for the Instagram channel" per ManyChat's help center, updated August 27, 2026.
- The reviews. Trustpilot shows 2.1 out of 5 from 303 reviews, with 45% one-star and 39% five-star, and the complaints are billing and support. G2 shows 4.5 from 165. Both can be true: users like the product, and the reviews turn on the bill and on reaching a person. Details and quotes are on the comparison page.

Five questions, asked of each product for a team that sells through DMs:
- Does the AI handle what customers actually send, including voice notes and images, without a second tool?
- Can you forecast the bill from the plan page, or does it follow your audience?
- Does one inbox cover the channels you sell on?

We weighted the first two highest because they are what people leave ManyChat over. A product built for another job, such as website support or WhatsApp campaigns, loses points on this lens and wins on its own. That is why it is listed below, not dropped.

1. Instant Reply: best for teams that sell in DMs#
Instant Reply is an AI inbox for Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and Telegram. Starter is $59 (Instagram and Messenger, 1 seat, 10,000 AI replies), Growth is $129 (adds WhatsApp and Telegram, 5 seats, 35,000 replies), Pro is $349 (unlimited seats, 100,000 replies, CRM sync, calendar booking inside DMs). Contacts are unlimited on every paid plan. The AI transcribes voice notes and describes images before it replies, can stay in draft mode so a person approves each reply, and pauses at the plan's reply cap instead of billing overage.
Watch out for: there is no visual campaign-flow canvas, seats are capped on Starter and Growth, and AI replies are a real limit. 2. Respond.io: best for large omnichannel teams#
Respond.io covers many channels with routing, workflows, calls and configurable AI Agents. Starter is $79 a month at the annual rate with 5 users; Growth is $159 with 10 users and starts with 1,000 Monthly Active Contacts, then bills $12 per extra 100. Growth and higher AI Agents can transcribe audio and analyze images. G2 shows 4.8 from 494 reviews. Watch out for: a contact meter of its own, WhatsApp fees outside every plan, and a higher entry price than ManyChat.
3. WATI: best for WhatsApp campaigns and calling#
WATI is a WhatsApp business solution provider with campaigns, calling and a growing multichannel Team Inbox. Growth includes 3 users with no extra users; Pro and Business include 5, with extra users priced per month. Every plan states that additional charges apply for messages. Watch out for: regional pricing, so read your own checkout. Trustpilot shows 3.1 from 272 reviews as of October 3, 2026.
4. Interakt: best for low-cost Instagram and WhatsApp starts#
Interakt lists a $12 Starter that is Instagram only, then Growth at $55 and Advanced at $69 a month plus taxes. WhatsApp AI agents unlock on Growth and Advanced. Watch out for: WhatsApp template fees on top, and AI agents behind the higher plans.
5. Chatfuel: best for a light Meta-channel start#
Chatfuel's Business plan lists at $69 a month with $20 of AI credits each month and "usage limits apply". It covers Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp. Watch out for: AI is credit-limited, not unlimited, and Trustpilot has few reviews (14), so there is little public evidence either way.
6. Tidio: best when website chat comes first#
Tidio is a customer-service platform built around website live chat, a helpdesk and the Lyro AI agent. Starter is $24.17 a month for 100 billable conversations, Plus starts at $300 plus usage, and human and Lyro conversations are metered separately. It is well rated: G2 4.6 from 1,962 reviews. Watch out for: two meters, and above its published quotas you are sent to a custom plan.
7. Gallabox: best for WhatsApp-led commerce#
Gallabox is a WhatsApp-first sales workspace with catalogs, payments and forms, plus Instagram and web chat. Basic is $112 a month on annual billing (3 users, 500 AI credits), Essential $248 (6 users, 2,000 AI credits). Watch out for: WhatsApp conversation fees and AI voice minutes are billed separately, and extra users cost $18 to $24 a month each.
When to stay on ManyChat#
Stay if your job is campaigns, not conversations. ManyChat has a visual flow builder, 60+ ready-made templates, comment, story and keyword triggers, TikTok, SMS and email channels, a Free plan, and a 7,000-app Zapier ecosystem. It is cheaper at the small end (Pro with AI is $39 for 2,500 contacts) and at the very large end (Advanced is $199 with 25,000 included, then $0.004 each). If those describe you, the alternatives above are a step sideways.
What switching involves#
No tool here imports ManyChat flows. Export your contacts, list every flow's trigger and outcome, move the conversations an AI can own, and keep campaign flows in ManyChat until the replacement is tested.
